In August we made a total of 8000 bars of soap. 5200 going to Asia, and the remainder going to London, England. We just kept chugging out the soap, and the entire first floor was covered in soap bars either waiting in molds to be pushed out, waiting to be cut, or waiting to be stamped. Here are some photos of the project.

The first step of course is weighing out and applying lye to our beer, then we give the mix time to cool off. After that we blend our proprietary recipe and pour into molds, where the soap stays for 24 hours.

Lye is measured and added to the beer. This requires a lot of caution, since the beer will attempt to volcano out of the pot.

After stirring furiously and making sure all the lye has dissolved, I pour into this cooling container. This solution will make 42 bars of soap.

The Mancave Project

This is a great example of the work we do for microbreweries and other companies. This is a project we just completed for Mancave. You can visit their site here. Custom stamp, and they provided their own label design.

7 of these 450 pound drums were just delivered today so we can prep for our winter season (which I hope is a blast, planning a wedding here, lol!) They look intimidating and this is the first time we have ever ordered in drums. But this is also the first year we have been able to afford to do so.

That’s why I want to say thank you. Thank you everyone for making this year an amazing success! Thanks to all our customers old and new, all our fans, those who chat with us on a daily basis on Twitter. And thank you tothe retailers all over the world who took a chance and tried our product! Back from Texas

Back from the family event in Texas. Can’t say I had the greatest time, but I was happy to see my family members from all over the world. The heat in Houston is so different from the heat here in Miami, almost intolerable. Unfortunately I do not have any photos. I got lazy and left my bulky camera at home. I really must get a pocket sized camera for trips. I am sure my sisters have plenty of pictures though so when I get somet from them I will post them up.

Gotta run, lots of projects to complete so I will update with some new item once I get them ready. Ciao for now!

A quick hello

Just popping in to say a quick hello. Its been busy around here. The summer just seems to be flying by. There are 2 new beer soaps listed (Summer Fest made with Sierra Nevada Summerfest and Limewood made with Sam Adams Summer Ale.) Also listing quite a few bath gelatos, sugar scrubs and deodorants.

Will update more later as I list more, ciao for now!

I have a contest for you ladies and gents! But first a little about our day. Just got back from our rest day in the Keys. We have been scoping out places to have our wedding, and someone told us to go to Marathon key. But when we got there, nothing much to see. I think we will stick to the Islamorada area.

We grabbed some lobster tails, gigantic shrimp. and some conch fritters and jalepeno poppers from a place called Alabama Jack. From the street the place looked like a hole in the wall, but the food is dynamite! If you are ever in this area, its the place to go for some wonderful seafood. Definitely one of those moments where I remember the saying “Never judge a book by its cover.”

Anyway, as we were driving down we were trying to think of a great catchy phrase for our wine soap and tea soap line that will be coming out in a few weeks. So far, drawing a blank and I just can’t think of anything good. So here is the contest.

Help us come up with a catchy phrase for our Wine Soap Line and our Tea Soap Line and we will send you 2 bars from each line when they are ready to go! Feel free to post as many slogans as you can think of. This contest will run till the 29th, so there is plenty of time to think of something! Please keep it clean, no profanity or sexual innuendos.

*I am extending this contest until after Father’s day to give it more time for more comments.*

The contest winnings will be mailed out once the soaps are ready and packaged, which will be around mid-late June. Please be sure to leave your correct email address in your reply so that we can contact you if you win!
