New Flat Rate Shipping Feature

I have been meaning to implement this feature for awhile now in my Etsy store. after seeing quite a few stores having success with it. It worked pretty well. Implemented it yesterday, woke up to 20 bars sold today (after an extremely slow week.) I bet a lot of customers get frustrated after adding items to their cart and seeing that huge shipping fee that Etsy calculates for them. A lot do not know that the seller will refund that excess shipping, so they just close the browser without buying, feeling like they are getting ripped off.

With the holiday season ahead we all need to make sure that our buyers have a wonderful buying experience with us on Etsy. This flat rate shipping method seems to be boosting sales for quite a few stores. And I am glad to say that it seems to be helping my little shop as well.

The holidays are right around the corner, what are you doing to prepare for it, whether you are a buyer or a seller?

yes I have walked out several times on etsy shops because the shipping fees were just outrageous. I was like…hello we are in a recession, can we get a flat rate??
